Collection: Sacred Tea

Despite the name, herbal teas are not actually made from the tea plant or tea leaves. Instead, they are made by steeping herbs, flowers, or roots. The origins of herbal tea date back to Ancient Egypt and Ancient China, used for thousands of years for its great taste and medicinal properties. Hence why there are so many health benefits of herbal tea.

There are hundreds of different herbal teas you can drink, all with varying tastes and benefits. These benefits can range from treating a cold to relieving stress, to anti-aging properties. In addition, unlike other teas, most herbal teas do not contain caffeine. So, they are good to drink at any time of the day.

How to Prepare
When making regular teas if you steep them for over 3 minutes they start becoming bitter due to the tanins in the leaves. Herbal Teas are different, the longer you steep them the more oils and minerals you get out of the herbs. We recommend that you steep our teas for 5-10 minutes using either an infuser, french press or special teapot.

Brewing Instructions: Pour boiling water in a cup and add your Loose leaf tea. Steep for 5 minutes.
- If desired sweeten with Sugar or Honey to taste.

 Something we get asked often..

Let's look at it like this,

You can count on about 1 tablespoon..So that's 10ml.
Earth's Sacred Basket larger Kraft Pouches are 250ml.  (Weight of various dry botanicals varies greatly) so, give or take, that's 25 servings.
